Job description
We are currently looking for a student or graduate to intern with us on a casual basis helping us to develop our vintage reworked range.
Your Role:
You will be required to do some bead work, cutting out of fabrics, reconstructing garments, leather work and sewing add on pieces with an emphasis on embellishment, you will also be free to input your own design ideas to provide a fresh view point as long as it’s in line with the direction of the collection. Please note that as it stands you won’t have to create garments/collections from scratch although if you have experience in this it would be a great advantage.
You will be based in a spacious home working environment in Dulwich.
The Candidate:
You must know the basics of how to sew and construct garments together, mainly with regards to attaching sleeves, re-constructing shirts, trousers and outerwear if possible.
You must be able to sew accurately and neatly as we are extremely meticulous about how the brand is portrayed and the quality of the finish is very, very important.
You must be organised and punctual and have a massive passion for fashion.
A proactive and enthusiastic individual would be suited for this role.
You don’t have to be good at technical drawing, the most important thing is that you are quick at sewing and construction and good at what you do :-)
N.B - PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN UNPAID ROLE HOWEVER WE WILL PROVIDE EXPENSES & LUNCH.
This is a temporary role however if things progress, it may become a permanent paid role.
