Job description
Wanted: Young scientists with an interest in the effect of chemicals on human health
We are a somewhat unusual toxicology consultancy company. With 12 scientists working in the field of mammalian toxicology and specialising in hazard and risk assessment, we’re successful (and clearly not small), but we are a totally informal and meritocratic bunch of people, all more interested in our science than our place in a company hierarchy. We are passionate about the work we do, and believe this is the main reason for our success.
As an established company we’re are looking for young scientists who think they have the potential to become respected hazard and risk assessors in the field of mammalian toxicology. The way that the company has grown over the years means that we undertake an unusually wide range of desk-based tasks in chemical toxicology. This profile is ideally suited to help individuals develop their skills in this fascinating area.
Fitting into the company culture is critical to us – you must recognise the absolute importance of client relationships, and the necessity for top-quality, accurate work. You should also work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently, and be able to demonstrate good communication skills. For the right person, with the appropriate skill-sets and personality, we are keen to embark on a 6 month courtship to see if you are the sort of person that is likely to enjoy a long career in toxicology, hopefully spent with us.
Please send your resumé and a covering letter explaining why you would thrive at bibra
